Insurance Business Manager

Charity has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry in different capacities. She has trained many individuals in the past 30 years to become seasoned Life Underwriters and is also an Examiner for the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe (IIZ). She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Directors Zimbabwe (IoDZ) and a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (FIISA). She holds an MBA from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ), a Diploma in Insurance, and a Diploma in Management for Executives (DME) (UZ).

Wilfred joined Moonlight in 2019 as a graduate trainee and elevated to the managerial level through the 5-year experience in the funeral and insurance industry obtained through moonlight funeral assurance and services. He currently holds a foundation certificate in Business administration and Bachelor of Business administration Studies Honors Degree through Linton University college (Malaysia) in collaboration with Leeds Beckett university (United Kingdom). He is also pursuing a diploma in insurance through the Institute of funeral business management.

Nigel has 5 years experience in the insurance industry, having started as a GT (graduate trainee) at Moonlight and working through to the management level. He holds a first-class degree in BSC International Business Management (from Anglia Ruskin University in the UK in Cambridge) and a master's in Business Psychology from Hertfordshire University in the UK in Hertfordshire).

Tawanda’s audit experience spans over five years where he audited companies in various industries, including Financial Services, Manufacturing, Industrial, and Non-Governmental Organisations. He is an ACCA Finalist and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree (Honors) from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). He did his articles of clerkship with STC International Chartered Certified Accountants (Zimbabwe) for over three years, where his core competencies were in the fields of internal audit services, accounting, forensic services, fraud investigations, tax advisory, statutory audits, tax audit, financial reporting, and donor-funded audits.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science from the National University of Science and Technology and is currently studying towards his fellowship qualification with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (UK).

Rosemary has over ten years of work experience in the Finance field. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Banking and Finance from Midlands State University. She has also been awarded a diploma from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and is pursuing further studies with the CIMA board. Currently, she is studying MBA specializing in Finance at the University of Zimbabwe.

Prior to her appointment as Public Relations Manager for Moonlight Funeral Assurance and Services, Noway served in the Information and Public Relations Department at the Midlands State University, where she was responsible for managing communication with all University stakeholders, organizing and coordinating corporate functions, brand management, and media relations management. She holds a BSc in Media and Society Studies from the Midlands State University and attained a Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Funeral Business Management with the Institute of Funeral Business Management (IFBM). She joined Moonlight in February 2018 under the Media Department, and rose through the ranks to become Public Relations Manager. Noway sits in the Corporate Social Responsibility Network of Zimbabwe board. She is also a member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Public Relations.

Noah has 7 years of experience as ICT Manager and more than 15 years’ experience in systems development most of which are financial, cellular industry, stores and workshops, transport and logistics. He worked in the SADC region implementing systems, support and consultancy. He holds an HND in Computer Studies.

Clemence joined Moonlight Funeral Assurance and Services in February of 1998 as a Driver/Undertaker and was promoted to a supervisory position in 2004. He undertook management and public relations studies with Management Training Bureau and was promoted to the position of Transport Manager in 2008.

Mavis has over 20 years of experience in the funeral assurance industry. She holds a Diploma in Insurance from the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe and a National Foundation Certificate in Business Studies (Hexco). She is currently studying on Associateship with the Institute of Insurance in Zimbabwe.

Elias joined Moonlight Funeral Assurance and Services as a Driver/ Undertaker and was promoted to a supervisory position within the Services Department before being promoted to become Services Manager in 2015. He undertook management studies with Management Training Bureau. To date, he has over 10 years’ experience in the undertaking business; has trained and produced professional undertakers for Moonlight countrywide.

Loveday has 17 years of experience in the Funeral Assurance industry. He holds a COP from the Insurance Institute of Zimbabwe, Certificates in Marketing and Disciplinary Management (Swindon Trainers). He is currently studying towards a Diploma in Insurance.
